Your position

In your role as a Commissioning Engineer, you will be a valuable member of the newly established Consulting Services Department which is set to face tremendous growth in the coming years. Here, you will strengthen our commissioning efforts for a major energy project for one of our most prominent clients. 

You will play a crucial role in developing and optimizing commissioning workflows and processes, offering a significant opportunity to make a tangible impact on the project's success. This role will be a unique chance for you to utilize your expertise and experience in a large-scale project environment, while also making a real change for the global energy sector.  

Location: your workplace will be at one of Semco's offices in either Denmark - Poland - UK. The position is full-time and 30-50 travel days per year offshore and onshore to clients should be expected.

Your tasks & responsibilities

As a Commissioning Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the seamless execution of commissioning activities essential to project success.

Your tasks will include but are not limited to: 

  • General commissioning tasks. 
  • Give input to job cards. 
  • Planning of low voltage cables (FEBDOK).
  • Planning of offshore jobs.


Your profile & qualifications

As a person, you enjoy having a lot of responsibility and you thrive in an environment where you have daily communication with many stakeholders. You are driven by completing tasks to the best of your ability and remain in control even in fast-paced situations. You have a safety focused mindset, and never compromise when it comes to safety on the job. Additionally, you are service-minded and greatly enjoy collaborating with your colleagues.

To succeed in this position, we imagine that you have: 
  • Relevant engineering master’s or and/or bachelor’s degree.
  • Have worked offshore. 
  • Experience with PEM.
  • Input job cards.
  • Experience with MIPS and TIME.
  • FEBDOK (not a requirement).
  • Adequate knowledge of power supply systems. 
  • Experience and knowledge of relevant design rules, regulations and standards. 
  • Ability to execute, take responsibility and make decisions. Communicate and be proactive. 
  • FSE Certificate.
  • Basic EX course.
  • Familiar with regulations and standards. 
  • Detailed knowledge of rules, regulations, and standards. 
  • As profile you are: Accurate, flexible, and organized. 
  • You have a hands-on attitude.
  • Knowledge of Norwegian language would be an advantage.
  • Excellent verbal and written English skills on a professional level.
