Are you looking for a role as a Training Executive?

If so, you could very well be the one we are looking for to drive development projects for VIKING Safety Academy - a global expert provider of training and competence development in the maritime and offshore industries, with 8+ own training sites globally.

About the position
The Safety Academy training programs focus on the operation and maintenance of VIKING products including lifeboats, rescue boats, evacuation systems and liferafts.

You will join a great team of 5 colleagues at the VIKING headquarters in Esbjerg and refer to the Training Development Manager. In the team we value our globally oriented, responsible and committed culture - and whether we work hard, win or celebrate, we do it as a team.

As a Training Executive you have a varied role and you operate globally in close collaboration with the Training Development Manager. Together with the team, as well as independently, you will nurture and drive the value-based development of training projects and contribute to our ability to meet VIKING's ambitions for training - now and in the future.

Examples of job tasks in the position, could be;

  • Drive and manage training development projects within VIKING and for customers
  • Design and develop course content for e-learning, optimizing our training portfolio for shipowners, crew and internal use
  • Conduct onboard and inhouse training activities for customers
  • Maintain and improve VIKING product specific maritime courses for crews
  • Maintain e-learning courses and programs
  • Be a super user on VIKING IT systems including the Learning Management System

Approximately 20-30 global travel days per year must be expected.

We will, of course, ensure that you receive thorough training to match the need in the position.

Necessary skill set
The ideal person has experience from a similar position and preferably within the maritime industry. Further, a positive and result-oriented attitude.

You have strong project management skills and the ability to independently drive projects forward. Knowledge about training and industry requirements would be an advantage.

Furthermore, we would like you to be;

  • Self-driven and with an independent approach
  • Able to communicate with a variety of stakeholders
  • Customer oriented and with a flexible attitude
  • Able to understand standards and regulations in the maritime industry

You are a strong communicator and able to express yourself fluently in English and Danish.
