Your position
In your new position as Mechanical Engineer you will join our Renewables division where we have created one of the largest project portfolios within offshore substations worldwide.

You will primarily be involved in greenfield EPCI (Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Installation) contracts for offshore substation projects. This means that you will be working with everything related to the projects, all the way from being responsible for cost, hours and quality for the mechanical systems within a project, to supporting the site during construction and commissioning.

Your place of work could either be from our headquarters in Esbjerg, our Ballerup office in the Greater Copenhagen area, or our Gdynia office in Poland, based on your convenience.

Your tasks & responsibilities
Despite the title of “Mechanical engineer” you will be working with multi-disciplinary systems such as Diesel generator systems, Diesel fuel systems where knowledge and understanding of all discipline areas within these systems is essential – Mechanical, Electrical and Control. Moreover, an important part of this position also includes aligning with external and internal stakeholders when creating proposals, technical solutions and carrying out project documentation.

Your tasks will include but are not limited to:

  • Producing and being responsible for design solution, documentation and purchase together with our procurement department
  • Coordinating and troubleshooting with the customer, suppliers and project disciplines
  • Facilitating and participating in client workshops and meetings to ensure that scope and technical solutions are aligned with the contract
  • Clarifying client requirements within the tender and the project phase
  • Ensuring the execution and sign-off of factory (FAT) and site (SAT) tests are carried out with customers, according to the overall project plan
  • Participating in concept development and optimization of technical solutions

Your profile
We are looking for someone who is passionate about renewable energy, wants to leave their personal mark on it, and is eager to learn and develop their skills within the field. You are a detail-oriented and structured person, someone excited about tackling complex engineering challenges and actively want to participate in teamwork.

To succeed in this position, we expect that you:

  • Hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering, marine engineering or similar
  • Have EPC project execution skills
  • Ideally, bring experience with diesel generator systems
  • Preferably have previous involvement in the offshore industry
