You position  

In your onshore position as Site Planner (Commissioning profile) in the Consulting Services team you will be a valuable member of a dedicated team whose mission is to support our clients to achieve success in their projects within energy infrastructure in oil & gas. 

Your place of work will be either at our Global HQ located in Esbjerg or at one of our locations in Copenhagen, Poland or UK.  

The position is full-time and 10 - 50 travel days per year offshore and onshore to clients should be expected.

The set-up 

You will be hired as a Semco Maritime employee and work in a team dedicated to one of our national or international customers. 
 
Your tasks & responsibilities 

As a Site Planner (Commissioning profile) your tasks and responsibilities will encompass, but are not limited to: 

  • Manage, and control commissioning activities related to mechanical and process systems as compressors etc.  
  • Responsible for commissioning preparations and execution within the project for all relevant systems including hand over to Operation/Plant Integrity. 
  • He/she shall also support other disciplines with interfacing commissioning activities.  
  • Participation in weekly meetings regarding planning, status, reporting, challenges, SSU etc. is expected from each member of the team.  
  • Establish and maintain safe working routines during execution of commissioning to ensure that all work performed is made in full compliance with Equinor’s safety regulation to maintain Equinor’s objectives of zero incidents, injuries and losses 
  • Participate during establishment of a commissioning team with competence and capacity to perform commissioning on the mechanical and process systems incl. compressors 
  • Responsible for follow up writing of the commissioning procedures on dedicated systems  
  • Issue and maintain commissioning boundary documentation for efficient construction and commissioning schedules 
  • Manage the commissioning activities during all phase to enable a safe and efficient commissioning execution 
  • Secure sufficient training and development of personnel within the commissioning organisation. 
  • Participate in MC verification of equipment and packages to obtain Ready for Commissioning status to secure a smooth transfer of Commissioning Packages from Construction to Commissioning. 
  • Follow up punch work in the field and punch list documentation and clearance. 
  • Ensure that drawings/documents are marked up with changes identified during commissioning and that as-built documentation is updated accordingly by responsible contractor. 
  • Experience transfer from/to other relevant projects and towards the base organisation 
  • Identify and follow up risks and opportunities related to commissioning. 
  • Evaluate and verify all procedures and work instructions used during commissioning and ensure that those are well understood by relevant personnel. 
  • Assessment of provisions for commissioning in design 
  • Ensure and maintain a close and good relationship to contractor and operation. 
  • Manage, execute and supervise the performance of commissioning activities. 
  • Responsible for handover of the facility to Operation by issuing TAC (technical Acceptance Certificate) and RFOC (Ready for Operation Certificates). 
  • Participating in development of strategies, budget, plans/schedules, procedures, routines, ATS requirements, FAT, UFAT, RISK and work processes for commissioning. 
  • Execute commissioning according to Equinor governing documents. 
  • Establish “first fill” requirements. 
  • Identify and propose needed temporaries for commissioning execution. 
  • Recommend Commissioning SPIR. 

 
Your profile & qualifications  

We are looking for a safety minded and result-oriented Site Planner (Commissioning profile) your who is passionate about safety and to interact with different disciplines wants to leave their personal mark on the tasks. You have a proactive and organized approach to your work and are eager to contribute to our clients and your team's success. 

To succeed in this position, we imagine that you have: 
  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering. 
  • Result and safety oriented. 
  • Experience from oil and gas projects. 
  • Extensive knowledge of Equinor’s governing documentation. 
  • Knowledge of Procosys and Fusion.  
  • Well-developed teambuilding, co operational- and communication abilities. 
  • Ability to handle responsibility and periodically high workload. 
  • Ability to drive activities to be complete on schedule. 
  • Establish good relations with Contractors. 
  • Good Norwegian language skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills at a professional level.
