Do you want to come on board?
Based at VIKINGs headquarters in Esbjerg, you will report to the Vice President for Products & Technology and will be responsible for a team of 6 skilled employees. The team is part of the Global Products & Technology organization - a global team with big ambitions and high goals.

In collaboration with the team, you lead the global documentation projects with the overall aim of improving 2D and 3D documentation as well as to standardize, digitize and automate processes.

Further, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a robust system for managing and governing our critical documentation. This is a key position that plays a vital role in ensuring our documents are accurate, compliant, and accessible to the right people at the right time.

In addition, you will also become part of the global management group in Products & Technology.

Of course, we'll make sure you receive thorough training and instruction in our products and systems. Once you're on board, the position offers opportunities for both professional and personal development.

About the position
As Documentation Governance Manager, you will be responsible for the well-functioning team and the strategic goals. In collaboration with the team, you will manage a number of initiatives, including planning, supporting and coordinating documentation and business projects as well as internal optimization and automation.

At the same time, you will focus on the quality of documentation being followed, improved and developed by continuously optimizing existing systems.

Areas of responsibility include;

  • Responsible for a team of 6 employees
  • Responsible for 2D and 3D documentation and associated IT systems
  • Prepare plans and budgets for the area of responsibility
  • Responsible for executing projects as well as building a project portfolio
  • Develop the strategic direction for P&T in collaboration with VP Products & Technology
  • Develop P&T within relevant processes and structures in a global perspective

In this role you must be able to identify with our 5 leadership principles: VIKING Life-Saving Equipment | 5 leadership principles (viking-life.com)

You can expect 15-20 global travel days per year.

Your background
To be successful, you have proven experience in document management and governance from a similar position and knowledge of 2D and 3D documentation, as well as global project management.

The prerequisites for success in the position are that you have;

  • Proven leadership skills
  • Project management experience
  • An educational background such as production technologist or engineer
  • Experience with AutoCad, Inventor, Vault and general knowledge of PLM systems
  • Preferably experience with SQL, Power BI and Power Automate or similar systems

Your personality is also important. We expect you to be proactive, curious, detail-orientated and self-driven. And you have the ability to create strong cross-functional collaborations - both internally and externally.

You have a high level of language skills in English and Danish.
