Your Position
In your new position as 3D Design Engineer/Technical Designer, you will join our Renewables division who has developed one of the largest project portfolios within offshore substations with activities spanning across Europe, Asia and the USA. Joining our skilled and passionate 3D design team, you will take part in our exciting development journey within the 3D environment for the creation of large-scale, specialized platforms that truly make a difference in our commitment to a greener and more sustainable future.
With your curiosity and skills for optimization and software development, you will collaborate closely with your team, IT department and our structural partners to ensure accurate representations of designs, drive efficiency and optimize the overall design process. Your responsibilities and tasks
As a 3D Design Engineer/Technical Designer, you will work on our 3D plant designs, creating systems like cooling, ventilation, cable trays, fire extinguishing and structural support. You will collaborate with the systems responsible and stakeholders for each system to ensure a thorough and seamlessly integrated design.
Your tasks will include but are not limited to:
- Crafting 3D designs of cable trays, piping, ventilation ducting and supports
- Preparing 3D model and 2D drawings
- Conducting quality controls
- Participating in site inspections during fabrication
- Ensuring close cooperation with our design partners
- Developing item specifications and catalogue
- Challenging status quo by optimizing and developing our design tools and processes.
Your profile & qualifications
We are looking for a dedicated team player who is passionate about 3D design and wants to leave their mark on the green energy transition. You possess strong communication skills and understand the importance of building long-term relationships.
To succeed in this position, we imagine that you have:
- Solid experience within plant design work
- Strong 3D competencies, preferable in AVEVA E3D, Hexagon BricsCAD/CADworx or similar
- A relevant educational background e.g., within structural-, mechanical- or marine engineering, graduate in production technology or Technical Designer
- Fluency in English, verbal and written
