Your position
As an Associate Manager, Site Engineering you will be responsible for a team comprised of specialised and experienced employees working with construction, installation and commissioning of substations for offshore Windfarms. The team of approx. 10-18 people delivers for example, Site engineering, planning, site supervision and commissioning, and is located at our construction yards in Denmark and Vietnam. 

With reference to the Director of Site Operations, you will be an integral part of the business unit’s management team. You will be expected to form strong working relationships with e.g., sales, tender, project management and other technical departments. Above all, your work will make a real difference in meeting the world’s growing energy demand.

Your tasks & responsibilities
In this role, you will be leading the team to set a clear overall direction for the Site Engineering team, and you will ensure that the right team is set for all our projects, manage recruitment and development of the team, and ensure a consistent focus on driving performance and initiatives related to cost-effectiveness.

Your tasks will include but are not limited to:

  • Leading and managing the team, including hiring, training, motivating and coaching employees.
  • Responsibility for performance/quality on entire portfolio within own technical discipline area (tender, projects).
  • Planning and setting teams for projects based on project demands
  • Coordinating, delegating and prioritizing projects activities and tasks.
  • Collaborating and coordinating with other technical areas.

Your profile
As Associate Manager, Site Engineering, you are assertive, nurture a trust-building environment and carry the ability to delegate and empower people effectively. You know that it is all about creating results through building a strong, motivated, and engaged team. You are focused, structured, solution-oriented and handle stakeholders proactively.

To succeed in this position, we expect that you have the following qualifications:

  • relevant experience from the Energy industry and preferably also from the offshore wind industry 
  • a Bachelor or a Master of Science and/or have a proven track record within team management – either through project management and/or Team Lead roles
  • fluency in written and verbal English
