Your tasks & responsibilities
You will advise on and do contractual work primarily in relation to our offshore energy business and will also be supporting our procurement department. At the same time, you will be advising the business directly on a wide variety of commercial, legal and risk management issues.
Your tasks will include but are not limited to:
· Providing high quality legal advice
· Influencing decisions regarding commercial and legal issues
· Drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, sometimes with demanding deadlines
· Being the responsible lawyer in case-processing for one or more offshore business divisions,
both in-house and externally
Your profile & qualifications
As a person we imagine that you are detail-oriented, self-driven and independent. You possess an analytic mindset, and it also comes naturally to you to be a good team player. Moreover, you are commercially conscious, confident and is self-driven, but do also acknowledge the strength of teamwork. It would be great if you have a broad sense of humour, a curious nature and are happy to co-operate within an informal legal work environment with seven great colleagues.
To succeed in this position, we imagine that you have the following qualifications:
· Master’s degree in law is a firm requirement
· Around 5 years of experience, preferably in the fields of commercial law, international agreements and
construction or energy law
· Preferably have experience with international B2B negotiations. You could also have experience with
LOGIC, BIMCO or FIDIC or other standard agreements / agreed documents, or perhaps you have knowledge
of German law or Common law
· Experience in handling in-house legal work, hereunder solid experience of drafting, reviewing, and advising
on a variety of complex and high value contracts
· Fluency in written and verbal English
