Ground Operations Officer - Supporting the Green Energy Sector

We are currently expanding our operations and looking for a Ground Operations Officers for Esbjerg and Thorsminde to join our dedicated team in Denmark. If you are passionate about aviation and safety and would like to work in a dynamic helicopter environment - this could be your next opportunity.
About the Role
Ground Operations is the backbone of KN Helicopters’ daily operations. The Ground Operations team ensures that flights depart on time, that safety standards are always maintained at the highest level, and that customers receive a service they can trust. That is why we are looking for a colleague who thrives in a role with many interfaces and a high level of responsibility.
You will have a key position in the team, handling both practical and administrative tasks. You will act as the link between passengers, pilots, engineers, customers and external partners. Your role is essential to daily operations, and you can look forward to a job where no two days are the same.
For the position in Thorsminde, training and the beginning of the contract will take place in Esbjerg.
If you do not live in or near by Esbjerg or Thorsminde, accommodation will be provided for you.
Your main tasks
As a Ground Operations Officer, you will be part of a team that maintains an overall overview of all flights – both scheduled and ongoing operations. Your tasks will include, among others:
Coordination of bookings for upcoming flights and continuous flight watch of ongoing operations
Passenger handling, including check-in, safe transport to and from the helicopter, and control of baggage and equipment
Operational tasks such as loading, refuelling helicopters and maintaining the check-in area to ensure a professional appearance at all times
Communication via radio with helicopters and customers to ensure clear and accurate information exchange
Ad hoc practical and administrative tasks, as well as completion of tasks listed in daily, weekly, monthly and annual checklists
In short: You will be part of the team that ensures everything runs smoothly in connection with helicopter operations.
Who we are looking for
You may already be working as a freight forwarder, offshore coordinator or traffic assistant. Alternatively, you may come from another role where logistics, coordination and customer contact are a natural part of your daily work.
Most importantly, you are able to remain calm and maintain an overview in fast-paced situations, and you thrive with varied tasks and working hours.
You need to have a clean criminal record, to obtain access to airport facility.

Have a natural sense of structure and can manage multiple tasks simultaneously without losing overview
Are fluent in Danish and English, both written and spoken
Are comfortable using IT systems and have good skills in Microsoft Office
Are independent, responsible and have a positive, cooperative mindset
Thrive in customer-facing roles and are able to create a good experience for both passengers and partners
Have strong drive, work in a solution-oriented manner and show persistenceWe also value flexibility, as this is a workplace operating 365 days a year.
Flexible working hours
At KN Helicopters, you will have a flexible working arrangement that allows you to adapt your job to your lifestyle. Typically, you will work 12–14 days per month, corresponding to approximately 160–180 hours, distributed across shifts between 06:00 and 21:00. You can expect to work two weekends per month, and duty rosters are normally published two months in advance.
