Your role
Semco Maritime, a multinational company in the offshore wind projects industry, is looking for an Offshore Substation Low Voltage (LV) Lead Engineer who will be responsible for managing the Low Voltage system design of an offshore substation. As a part of the Semco Maritime team, you will be involved in technical solutions ranging from project development to supporting design and development execution throughout all phases of the projects. Your tasks & responsibilities
As a LV Lead Engineer, you will be part of the value chain, interfacing with multiple disciplines and working on technical solutions ranging from project development to supporting design and development execution throughout all phases of the projects.
Your tasks will include but are not limited to:
- Ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of technical designs
- Managing document delivery throughout the project lifecycle for the Low Voltage (LV) system, encompassing LV Switchboards, UPS/DC systems, Light Distribution, Small Power, Lightning Protection Earthing/Bonding, Heat Tracing, and Cableways
- Monitoring and reporting on document progress and milestone achievements for the Low Voltage (LV) scope of work in EPC and Product line projects
- Keeping technical requirements and specifications up to date by gathering inputs from internal and external stakeholders
- Contributing to the development of team and organizational culture
- Taking responsibility for the design, time schedules, procurement, and certain aspects of commissioning for Low Voltage (LV) systems in EPC projects
- Managing suppliers, negotiations, and contracts in collaboration with the procurement department
- Attending Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), commissioning, and handover of Low Voltage (LV) projects to clients and their Operations & Maintenance (O&M) organizations
- Providing consultancy services
- Developing, optimizing, and standardizing technical solutions
- Participating in Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) and feasibility studies.
Your profile
As a person, you have a proactive, analytical, and organized approach to your assignments. Also, you must be capable of managing projects, ensuring they stay on time and within budget while also motivating your team. Given the complexity of the projects you'll be handling, you must have the ability to navigate through them and understand the various interfaces and stakeholders involved.
To succeed in this position, we imagine that you have:
- A relevant technical education with a focus on electrical work, such as marine engineering or electrical engineering
- Practical experience working on similar solutions and installations
- Fluency in English, verbal and written
