With our current Documentation Manager embarking on new challenges within Semco Maritime, an exciting opportunity arises for a new Manager to lead a team of dedicated professionals.

Your position

As the Manager of Documentation at Semco Maritime, you will play a pivotal role in the development of renewable energy solutions. Your primary responsibilities will involve enhancing division documentation standards and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.

You will lead a highly motivated team tasked with overseeing the 2D technical designers and document controllers. While expertise in both areas is not mandatory, a robust comprehension of documentation practices and standards is indispensable. Your team will be actively involved in projects, ensuring that all documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with relevant standards. 

Your new team is located at Esbjerg and Copenhagen, Denmark as well as in Gdynia, Poland and you may freely choose to be in either location.

Your tasks & responsibilities

As a Manager of Documentation, you will together with the team set the strategic direction for the division’s documentation practices. You will be responsible for setting the right team for our projects, managing recruitment and development, and maintaining a consistent focus on performance and cost-effectiveness.

Your tasks will include, but are not limited to: 

  • Leading and managing the team, including hiring, training, motivating, and coaching employees. 
  • Overseeing performance and quality across the entire documentation portfolio. 
  • Ensuring consistency in documentation practices across projects. 
  • Coordinating, delegating, and prioritizing project activities and tasks. 
  • Collaborating and coordinating with other technical departments. 
  • Contributing to processes with a focus on documentation review and quality assurance/control. 
  • Liaising with the Product Line regarding technical documentation, cost assessments, and engineering estimates. 


Reporting to the Director of Engineering, you will be a key member of the business unit’s Engineering management team.
You will be expected to establish strong working relationships with colleagues in tendering, project management, and other technical departments. 

Your Profile 

You have a high degree of self-motivation with a flexible approach to work. You possess good interpersonal skills and works well with other people. You are result-oriented, and you organize and prioritize your work effectively meeting required deadlines. 

The ideal candidate has a proven track record within team management – either through project management and/or from a head of department function. However, this is not a must, the most important is that you possess a desire to lead people and understand that success is achieved by building a strong, motivated, and engaged team.
