Your role
In Rig & Marine division we are looking for a Mechanical Foreman, who can keep the overview and ensure tasks are carried through in a safe way. There are a lot of interesting challenges within yard stays, modification projects including the green transition within drilling rigs and special vessels.
You will be part of a team of 7 colleagues working locally and globally on projects in our division. The Rig & Marine division consist of 450 colleagues globally. You will report to Senior Project Manager, Søren Hede-Jensen.
Your place of work will be at our Global HQ located in Esbjerg, the hub of the Danish energy industry, right on the waterfront – views do not get any better than this. The position is full-time, and you can expect to travel 200 days per year.
Your tasks and responsibilities
You will be responsible for reporting on progress to Project Managers. In the role, it is important to always ensure an overview on both colleagues and tools.
Your tasks will include but are not limited to:
- Lead and coordinate the workforce group actively,
- Ensure correct quality and standard, and compliance with deadlines
- Provide safety leadership across all contract activities and act as the role model for preferred safety behaviour ensuring all HSE rules and regulations are followed
- Permit Performing Authority (PA), take out permits and is responsible for the permits they have signed for
- Request required materials, tools, scaffolding, etc. from Supervisor when needed
- Coordinate activities with other contractors on site
- Daily approval of time sheets before hand-over to Offshore Supervisor
Your qualifications and skills
We imagine that you are very independent and thrive when things change rapidly – sometimes by the hour. You are passionate about what you do, and humour is important to you. You are eager to get things done in the right way and collaborate with various stakeholders.
To succeed in this position, we expect that you have:
- Education as mechanical engineer, marine engineer or other relevant
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience from the offshore or marine industry preferably
- Knowledge of English – both oral and written
