Your position 
As our new Mechanical Site Engineer at Semco Maritime you will join an experienced, highly skilled and passionate team of engineers in our Renewables division. This team has been responsible for creating one of the largest project portfolios within offshore substations worldwide.

We are mainly working on sites in Denmark at Lindø and Aalborg, but our market areas include Europe, Asia and the USA so opportunities for traveling across the globe visiting and supervising sites can be possible.

Your tasks & responsibilities 
You will be involved in the construction of offshore substation for windfarms and distribution/transmission projects world-wide. You, together with your team will be responsible for installations, tests and commissioning of mechanical systems such as ventilation systems, cooling systems, fire extinguishing system, diesel generator system and fuel system.

Your tasks will include but are not limited to: 

  • Coordinating and managing daily site activities for 4-10 skilled workers
  • Ensuring that the project activities adhere to the schedule and activities are planned accordingly
  • Coordinate and plan with installation suppliers
  • Purchase and overseeing the timely delivery of materials and coordination with vendors
  • Preparing job packages for foremen, updating job package progress and creating progress reports
  • Ad-hoc daily tasks and problem solving
  • Participate in start-up and commissioning

Your profile & qualifications 
We imagine that you are an ambitious and talented professional with a keen eye for detail. You are also a dedicated team player with a positive attitude as well as good commercial awareness and managerial skills.
 
To succeed in this position, we expect that you:

  • Preferred to have a master’s or bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, marine engineering or similar
  • Have prior hands-on experience with some of the mechanical systems
  • Have experience working with staff and supplier contracts
  • Possess a safety-first mindset
  • Would like to work in an international setting where a lot of traveling is required to go to the sites
  • Have effective interpersonal skills and great communication skills in English
