As we are witnessing substantial growth in the Offshore Wind market, we are actively seeking a highly dedicated, analytical, and detail-oriented Project Controller to reinforce and enhance our project controlling endeavours. This role will play a crucial part in our ongoing and upcoming EPC projects, specifically focused on the Design, Procurement, installation, and commissioning of Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) of Offshore Substations.

Your tasks & responsibilities
As our newly appointed Project Controller, you will collaborate closely with Project Managers and cross-functional team members to provide comprehensive support and ensure the seamless execution of our projects. Your role will be instrumental in driving excellence and ensuring that the project’s KPI’s as a minimum will be realised.


Your Key Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Creating new awarded projects with the right project structure; providing overview to the project managers and Division Management about the project performance through regular project follow-ups
  • Budgeting, forecasting, monitoring and controlling of all EPC project’s financial key figures throughout all phases of the project.
  • Determination and realization of project budgets and deadlines. 
  • Make and implement suggestions for improvements and lessons learned 
  • Continually monitoring and analysing the reasons of any deviation between budget vs. actual project execution both in regards from budgetary and deadline point of view
  • Control of transactions arriving to the project: hours, expenses, materials/tools, issued POs to the different suppliers
  • Creating and maintaining project reports for our customers, consortium partners and internal stakeholders. 
  • Setup and issuing of Payment Applications and invoices of projects towards our customers, ensuring a smooth cash-flow
  • Monitoring cash-flow, taking care of the overdue customer invoices and following up on payment reminders
  • Re-estimation of existing projects, controlling the possible Variation Orders 
  • Identify trends, patterns, and insights to support decision-making and project improvements
  • Preparation of auditing documentation.
  • Reviewing contracts and Purchase Orders from customers and suppliers
  • Lead Consortium Controller activities  
  • Any ad hoc reporting

Your skills & qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance or Economy.
  • Minimum of +3 years experience within project Controlling. Prior controlling experience in EPC project execution is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in the English language
  • Systematic, detail-oriented, and analytical as well as flexible with a strong focus on meeting project deadlines
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
  • Willingness to learn and improve project management skills and processes
  • A team-player within a global team who can also work independently when the need arises
  • Solid experience with ERP systems (IFS knowledge is a plus) and business intelligence like Microsoft BI, as well as being a super user in Excel

Practical information
The position is full time. The work is global, however your main place of work will either be at our HQ in Esbjerg (DK), Ballerup (DK) or Gdynia (PL). Annually travelling for up to 30 - 60 days to our Construction locations like Aalborg, Denmark – Vung Tau, Vietnam can be expected.
