Your position 
In Rig & Marine division we are looking for a structured and skilled Project Engineer, who can ensure focus on tasks in a team, to reach the target of delivering a fantastic project to our clients with safety as the highest priority throughout the project. There are a lot of interesting challenges within yard stays, modification projects on drilling rigs and special vessels. You will be part of the Rig & Offshore Marine department with 75 colleagues working globally on projects in our division. You will report to Nicolaj Frimann, Operation Manager.

Your tasks & responsibilities 
As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for managing projects according to agreed budget, plan, and quality, and to the satisfaction of our customers. The projects typically involve maintenance and modification tasks on floating units such as drilling rigs and special vessel. They cover all disciplines and project phases, and the project engineer will also be involved in the tendering/sales phase. Several contractual models are applied for the projects.

Your tasks and responsibilities will include but are not limited to: 

  • Ensuring that our project deliveries are within time, quality, and cost targets
  • Monthly project reviews to ensure accountability of all project activities
  • Developing and managing complex, multiphase budgets and business plans
  • Follow company policies and procedures
  • Manage both technical and financial risk in projects

Your profile and qualifications

To succeed in this position, we expect that you have the following qualifications:

  • Higher technical education
  • Experience as a Project Engineer or Discipline Lead (Mechanical or Structural)
  • Experience within the maritime or offshore segment for at least 3 years
  • Knowledgeable within AutoCAD/SolidWorks and other relevant engineering programs
  • Great communication skills in English, written and verbal
  • Valid offshore credentials
  • Must have a valid work visa and be a resident in the USA

The position is full time and is located at our office in Houston, the hub of the energy industry. You should expect up to 50-80 travel days a year which could be offshore surveys or project executions.
