Your position
Semco Maritime is looking for an experienced FEA calculation specialist within the structural and mechanical disciplines playing an important role in the growth of the Structural & Mechanical Engineering team.
In this role, you will join our experienced engineering team, collaborating closely with highly skilled colleagues and reporting to the team manager. Your work will involve close collaboration with project managers, fellow calculation specialists, engineers, designers and our Esbjerg-based fabrication team. Together, we will use our combined wealth of experience in engineering and fabrication to deliver the best solutions to the benefits to our clients. Key responsibilities
As a Structural/Mechanical Calculation Specialist, you will be a valued addition to our team working with all phases of EPC projects.
Your tasks will include but are not limited to:
- FEED studies and Design Basis
- Concept development
- Load Calculations
- Detail design of steel structures and mechanical solutions
- FEA and analytical calculations
- Design documentation
- Quality control
- Technical discussions with client and 3rd parties
- Mentoring young engineers and designers
- Cooperation with the Fabrication team
Your profile
We are looking for a detail oriented and experienced specialist who is passionate about structural and mechanical solutions and wants to leave their mark on it. You take pride in setting your standards high and know the importance of having the right safety mindset. Besides, you believe that success is only achieved through dedicated teamwork.
To succeed in this position, we imagine that you have:
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in structural, mechanical or marine engineering
- Preferably knowledge from the wind industry
- 5+ years of experience FEA calculations using ANSYS with solid experience in both static, dynamic and fatigue calculations
- Fluency in English, verbal and written
