Your position
As a Senior Business Controller, you will join our dedicated Corporate Finance team whose mission is to provide financial expertise and support to all areas of our organisation. In this role, you will be the primary overseer of our business control efforts across our four divisions. Your contribution will be crucial to their growth, achieved through strategic financial planning, performance analysis, and operational guidance.

We are on a growth journey which increases the need for a solid finance function, as well as an excellent Data and analytics framework, which you will be part of building.

Your place of work will be at our Global HQ located in Esbjerg, the hub of the Danish energy industry, right on the waterfront – views do not get any better than this. The position is full-time, and you can expect to travel 0-10 days per year.

Your tasks & responsibilities
Your key responsibility will be to ensure that all financial challenges are highlighted, considered, monitored and controlled. You will take a lead in financial planning and analysis and head the budgeting and forecast process as well as offer valuable insights to support well-informed decision-making.

Your tasks will include but are not limited to:

Collaborating with management to develop and implement financial strategies that align with our business goals and drive growth
Managing relationships with external partners, including partners of outsourced services
Participate in establishing and consolidating budgets and forecasts
Reporting, analysis and follow-up on monthly financial accounts
Liquidity analysis and forecasting including financial planning
Analysing trends and suggesting/implementing improvements
Ensuring quality and alignment of data, systems and processes
Participate in the development of our ESG reporting

Your profile & qualifications
We are looking for an analytical and business-driven business controller, someone who is excited about tackling complex financial challenges and not afraid of challenging the status quo. With your proactive mindset, you excel at building and fostering relationships with people at all levels of the organisation. Additionally, you possess a high-level of adaptability and enjoy working with diverse tasks.

To succeed in this position, we imagine that you have:

A relevant educational background within finance or business controlling, such as an HD-R or Cand.Merc.Aud. (Master in Finance)
Experience in a similar role
Proficient Excel skills
Fluency in Danish and English, verbal and written
